Our Previous Proposal Ideas

Hicare Bed

Description:

A hi tech care bed that assist and have many functions to help the elder patient. The purpose of this care bed is to monitor, alert, and assist whatever they need while laying on it. For example, this bed will detect if the patient falls and inflate an airbag on floor to eliminate the impact from the fall, especially the head. Not only that, it will be able to detect if he/she try to leave the bed in middle of night and turn on the light in response to it. It has a build in microphone for patient to speak if they need any assistant from caregiver and a remote control to adjust the laying surface for their needs. It also featured a wearable health sensor for elder patient to monitor their wellbeing; the bed itself is acting as digital scale along with the ability to analyze and record their sleep habit in real time. The data then send to caregiver’s laptop through Wi-Fi with app that can keep a track of heart rate, sleeping pattern, weight, and temperature from the elder patient.

Car Temperature Regulator

Description:

The car temperature regulator is a device that uses multiple temperature and humidity sensors located next to the seats in a car to detect if an area is getting too hot for the inhabitant in the car, an example of this would be an unattended child or dog left in a car. The purpose of this device is to help prevent deaths caused by children or dogs left in a hot car by monitoring ambient temperature above normal which activates a motorized fan controlled by a stepper motor that can switch position based on the hottest area of the car, it can also switch to a 360 degree mode. It does this by checking whether a person is in a seat by using a PIR or infrared sensor which is fed into the microcontroller and then starts monitoring the ambient temperature and humidity around them, if the temperature/humidity reaches unsafe levels the system then sends an emergency message through Bluetooth to the parent or guardian and automatically turns the fan toward the person in need.

One Man Electronic Band

Description:

This product comes with gloves for playing notes, and a drum pad designed to play the equivalent of a full set of drums only using feet. One glove will have an ultrasonic receiver and the other a transmitter to act as a proximity sensor, as well as that each will have six capacitive touch sensors. Five of the capacitive touch sensors will be in the fingertips, and one on the inner part of each thumb. Each fingertip sensor will represent a certain note that will be played when the sensor is activated; while the inner thumb sensor is active, the fingertip sensors will represent a different set of notes to allow for a wider range of notes per hand.

The proximity sensors will be use to determine the octave each hand plays in. The left hand will represent the bass notes with the right hand being one octave higher, moving the users hands further apart will cause the right hand to move up octaves incrementally. The signal will be sent to a microprocessor that will act as an audio interface, which will then lead to the final speaker output.

The drum mat has Eight separate pads each containing a sensor, arranged so that the user can play the top row with their toes, and the bottom row with their heels allowing for four drums to be played at once just like a real drum set.
